Somali Bantu Community Development Council of Denver are providing the following services to the Somlai Bantu community members and other communities in Denver.

13. Islamic Religion Education
1- English as Second Language Classes:
English language skills form the basis of al the activities leading to self-sufficiency and life-styles to assist Somali Bantu Community Members to adjust and be able to understand the social language in U.S. Almost all Somali Bantu Community members will benefit from this class.
2- Citizenship Instructional Class:
Citizenship class is more formal language and its base been becoming neutralized by U.S. and to be able to benefit of been U.S. citizen. Almost all Somali Bantu Community members will benefit from this class.
3- Employment services:
Assistance with employment training and job placement services are crucial to develop self-sufficiency in Somali Bantu Community. Approximately 25% of services will fall in this category.
4- Housing Assistance:
Somali Bantu Community will assist clients with securing appropriate housing working with the local housing providers and government housing program agencies. Approximately 40% of services provided will fall into this group.
5- Interpretation & Translation Services:
Interpretation and Translation Services will be provided into 2 Languages, Maay Maay and Kizigua. Approximately 20% of the services will fall in this category of Zigua speaking.
6- Health Education Program:
Provide health environment for children to be able to understand in their future health and to stay health effectively. Assist children to take care of themselves and be healthy. Adults are also need to chose health choice and take care of their up coming health problems.
7- After School Program:
Assist children with their homework, create a sense of community, and tutor training programs to better enhance and assist children in their long run for more enrichment. Assist teenagers with their homework, develop healthy enrichment program, and tutor training for their college readiness.
8- Youth Leadership Development Program:
1. Develop a leadership workshop for youth
2. Create effective strategy planning for mentor to help them in School
3. Assist/obtain to retain their culture and history
5. Provide goal setting and adjusting American culture
9- Case Management:
Develop an effective strategy planning for case management Connect the local non profit organization to plan effectively on case management servicesCreate directory resources for the organization to operate effectively Identify the local key resources in the state and outside the states
10- Vocational Training Services:
Assistance with registration in vocational training e.g. Computer literacy and other courses. So that they will be more familiar about technology in the U.S.
11- Supportive Services:
Services in this group will include enabling services that help clients move towards self-sufficiency. These might be included transportation assistance, assistance with child care or parenting classes, or other services. Approximately 35% of services provided will be benefited.
12-Consumer Advocacy:
Assist the newly arrived refugee, second immigrants, and immigrants are vulnerable to unfair business practices, and often need assistance in understanding their rights with regard to housing, utilities, legal system, medical care system, etc. Approximately 45% of services provided will benefited.
13-Islamic Religion Education (IRE)
Somali Bantu Community Development Council of Denver wants their children teach their Islamic religion because the children want to understand and practice what their fathers and mothers are practicing. Assist Somali Bantu children to learn their Islamic religion and practice them. Children should always be able to retain their Islamic religion culture. Children will be taught Islamic religion education on the weekends only because children are at school for the rest of the week days. Children will be taught both languages Arabic and English. Approximately 70% of service provided will be benefited from the Somali Bantu Children.
These are the main operational plan for Somali Bantu Community Development Council of Denver here proposed and want to have some things done for SBCDC members. The SBCDC members are in need of huge assistance and demanding always to have some class plan to operate in a level where they will have gain some English class.
