MIssion
 
 

Our Mission is to facilitate the resettlement and assimilation of the Somali Bantu Community in the United States, especially in Denver, Colorado, through the providing of educational, cultural, and life skills training programs promoting English literacy, and awareness of American culture, and self sufficiency within and among the individuals and families compromising the Somali Bantu Community in the United States, especially in Denver, Colorado.  
 

Background

Somali Bantu Community Development Council received their non-profit status in 2006.

 Goals of the Community Development Council are:

v  Resource and Operation Committee
v  Communication and Advocacy Committee
v  Domestic Violence and Dispute Resolution Committee
v  Outreaching and Events Committee  
v  Emergency Committee
v  Financial Management Committee
v  Money Collectors Committee

The Somali Bantu Community Development Council began in October 3, 2004, in Denver Colorado .  The Somali Bantu as a community agreed that if they are to become successful in America, they must organize and remain connected with each other.
